**Black Forest Swiss Roll – A Chocolate & Cherry Delight!**
### Ingredients:
**For the Chocolate Sponge Cake:**
– 4 large eggs, separated
– 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
– 1/4 cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– A pinch of salt
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
**For the Filling:**
– 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
– 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup (100g) maraschino cherries or fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
– 1/4 cup (60ml) cherry syrup (from the cherries or cherry juice)
– 1 tablespoon dark rum (optional, for added flavor)
**For Garnish:**
– Grated chocolate or cocoa powder
– Extra cherries for decoration
