Tessa tilted her head.
“You’re going to make this more dramatic than it needs to be,” she said. “Just show us, and it’s over.”
I looked at the envelope.
Then at her.
Then at everyone watching.
“No,” I said again, calmer this time. “I’ll read it. If you really want to know.”
